The business

Tungsten Media builds end-to-end content systems for household-name brands in food, retail, and entertainment. The heritage is visual engineering: motion control robotics, high-speed cinematography, and realtime CGI, now joined by an LED volume and AI-integrated generation.

What makes them interesting is the refusal to pick a lane. Traditional craft and emerging technology run through the same pipeline, so a brief gets whichever mix actually serves it.

What I'm in the room to do

I chair the board. That means commercial strategy, governance, and keeping the studio’s transformation pointed somewhere deliberate rather than wherever the technology drifts.

I also carry new business at board level - the conversations that need someone who can talk craft with a producer and margins with a finance director in the same meeting.

The seat is deliberately non-operational, and that’s what makes it work. The directors run delivery, which frees all of my time for the alignment question: what Tungsten needs to become as AI redraws what production is, and how a studio with real craft heritage gets there ahead of the market. I’m an investor as well as chair - skin in the decisions I steer.
